Review policyYou are in the living room before the kids party, and nobody will name an animal. This animal wheel is up. Tap Spin once. The animal that stops is the costume, the team name, or the one thing everyone does next.
How this animal wheel picks one animal
Say the job before anyone taps Spin: costume, team, or one prompt. One spin does that one job. Cut a name the group cannot use. Call it a random animal wheel if you want. Same list. Same spin. Other family wheels are on the family kids spin wheel.
If that animal cannot be used, remove the slice, then spin. Do not spin again and keep the nicer animal.
Each spin uses crypto.getRandomValues in the browser. With equal weights, every animal name still on the list has the same chance.
Costume, team, or one animal prompt
Keep names the room can wear or cheer: Fox, Penguin, Owl, Red Panda. Costume means the child wears that animal. Team means that animal is the team name. One prompt means you already said what the name is for, such as the cheer for the next minute.
How to run the spin
Agree the job. Say costume, team, or one prompt before the first spin. One spin does that one job. Do not switch jobs after the name lands.
Keep animal names only. Keep 12 to 16 animal names the group can say out loud. Take off a place to walk, a sketch rule, and an act-out topic. To start from a copy, open the spin wheel templates and edit the names.
Click Spin once. The animal name that stops is the costume, the team name, or the one prompt you agreed.
Remove a name you cannot use, then spin. If Penguin cannot be used, delete Penguin, then spin. Do not leave it on the wheel and spin until a cuter animal lands.
Send the co-host the same link. Both of you see the same animal names before the next round.
When this wheel helps
Costume
Agree costume before Spin. The landed name is what the child wears. Penguin means a penguin costume. That spin is not also the team name.
Team
Agree team before Spin. The landed name is the team. Owl means Team Owl. That spin is not also a costume.
One prompt
Agree the prompt before Spin. You already said the name is the cheer for the next minute. Koala means the cheer is Koala. Do not change the prompt after the wheel stops.
Tips
Keep 12 to 16 animal names. Read them out loud and cut one before the first spin.
Agree costume, team, or one prompt before anyone taps Spin. One spin, one job.
If the group cannot use that animal, remove the slice, then spin. Do not spin until a cuter name shows up.
When the animal round is done, use the family game night wheel for the next game.
