Review policyYou are on the sidewalk between two restaurant doors. Phones out. The Corner Bistro, Riverside Thai, Main St Pizza. Nobody wants to make the call. This random restaurant picker settles it with one spin: enter the restaurants everyone would accept, tap Spin, and go.

How this random restaurant picker builds a list you would actually walk into
This wheel randomly chooses from restaurants you already agree are worth considering. It does not search a map, pick a place from your location, or pretend to know which kitchens are open tonight.
Type names you would actually sit down at. If someone cannot eat there, the price is too high, or you already know the kitchen is closed, take that name off before you spin. The goal is not the biggest list. It is a list where everyone can accept the landing. Your group decides the acceptable choices first. The wheel only decides which acceptable choice wins.
This is sit-down eat-out. Cooking at home is a different job. Delivery is a different job. Students can swap a dining hall onto this same list if that is a door they would walk into. Want a wheel with no names on it yet? Make a blank wheel.
Build the list, then spin once
Enter restaurants everyone can accept. Add sit-down restaurants, not cuisine types, delivery apps, or places someone has already ruled out.
Remove deal-breakers first. Dietary needs, budget, distance, and any kitchen you already know is closed come off the list before anyone taps Spin.
Keep the list readable. Two names are usually a coin. Three to twelve restaurants stay easy to read on a phone.
Spin once. Honor the landing. If the group agreed on one veto before the spin, use it only when that rule applies. Do not best-of-three.
Check before you go. The wheel chooses the name. It does not know tonight's hours, wait, or whether a table is free. Then walk in. Do not reopen Maps and start the same debate again.

When this wheel helps
Someone has a food restriction
Take restaurants that do not work for that person off the list first. The wheel should choose among options the whole group can actually use, not force a veto after the landing.
Only two names left
A coin is enough. This wheel is for three to twelve sit-down spots you already accept. Do not pad the list with places nobody wants.
The group already has a shortlist
Everyone named a place they would visit. Put those names on the wheel and honor the landing together.
What this wheel does and does not choose
It does: randomly select one restaurant from your list.
It does: help a group settle a decision when several options are already acceptable.
It does not: find restaurants near you automatically.
It does not: know whether a restaurant is open or busy right now.
It does not: check dietary needs or your budget for you.
It does not: decide which restaurant is objectively the best.
Each spin uses the browser random generator on the names you entered, not popularity or ads. This is a decision tool, not a restaurant discovery service. You supply the shortlist. The wheel removes the need to pick among those names yourself.
Restaurant picker vs restaurant search
Search helps when you do not know where to eat and need options from location, cuisine, reviews, or price. Use this wheel when you already have a shortlist and the problem is which acceptable place to choose.
Search finds the options. The wheel picks one.
Tips
Do not add a restaurant you hope will not win. Fake options defeat the spin.
Agree what counts as a veto before anyone taps Spin.
If you keep spinning until you get the name you wanted, you are not using the result.
After it lands, you still check the door. The wheel does not know hours.
